Overview#
The Blue Star NG265-01P is the prime-rated variant of the NG265-01, delivering 250 kWe continuously on natural gas (175 kWe on LP). It uses the identical PSI 14.6L V8 platform, structural steel base, and physical enclosure as the standby NG265-01. Prime rating backs continuous duty with a 1-year / 1,500-hour warranty.

Both share the same OPU footprint (140 × 78 × 90 in, 9,275 lbs) and DSE DCP7310 controller.
When to spec the NG265-01P#
- 200–250 kW continuous or prime duty on natural gas or LP
- Facilities operating the generator as a primary or heavily cycled source
- Projects where LP at 175 kWe prime is the design basis
Our service experience#
Service requirements are identical to the NG265-01. Higher annual operating hours from prime-duty use mean increased spark plug, ignition system, and coolant service frequency. Plan around PSI's prime-duty maintenance schedule rather than the standby interval.
