Overview#
The Gillette PR-1300 is a 130-kilowatt prime-rated natural gas generator — the high-output variant of the PSI 8.1L inline-6 platform shared with the PR-1000. Same engine, same enclosure (132 x 52 x 65 in), 30% more output through a higher BMEP calibration. Stamford UCI274F alternator, DSE 7420 MKII controller.
PR-1000 vs. PR-1300: same platform, different output#
If load growth is possible, specifying the PR-1300 on the same foundation as the PR-1000 provides 30 kW of headroom at minimal cost. Both models share identical physical dimensions and enclosure options.
Our service experience#
At 130 kW continuous from 8.1L, the PR-1300 runs at higher thermal loading than the 100 kW PR-1000. The turbocharger and charge air cooler work harder at this calibration — we inspect these components more carefully during service on the PR-1300 than on its lower-output sibling.
