The Winco PSS20B2W is a 17 kW standby generator (LP) / 15 kW (NG) powered by a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard V-Twin engine. It is the largest unit in Winco's PSS home standby series, delivering single-phase 120/240V output for residential whole-house backup. Air-cooled for low maintenance. 100% US-made in Le Center, Minnesota since 1927.
The PSS20B2W tops the PSS lineup, providing enough output to cover most loads in a large home — central HVAC, well pump, water heater, refrigeration, and essential circuits simultaneously.

Service & Maintenance#
Oil changes every 100 hours or annually. Air filter and spark plug replacement at 200 hours. The air-cooled Vanguard design eliminates coolant system maintenance entirely. For home standby generators, weekly exercise under load is the single most important maintenance practice — it prevents fuel regulator degradation, maintains battery charge, and keeps transfer switch contacts from oxidizing.
