Overview#
The Triton Power TP-RD90-T4F is an 80 kW rental grade diesel generator built for mid-range fleet and jobsite power applications. Powered by the John Deere 4045HFG04 four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine (4.5 L displacement) paired with a Leroy Somer alternator, it delivers 80 kW / 90 kVA standby and 72 kW / 81 kVA prime power at 1800 RPM. The unit meets EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards through John Deere's integrated aftertreatment system with DOC, DPF, and SCR.
Engineered for rental fleet durability, the TP-RD90-T4F features a reinforced sound-attenuated enclosure, heavy-duty steel chassis with forklift pockets, and 125% integrated fluid containment. Available in three-phase configurations (120/208V and 277/480V), it powers construction site main feeds, temporary commercial buildings, mid-scale events, and infrastructure projects where reliable Tier 4 Final compliant power is required.
Our service experience#
The John Deere 4045 platform is a rental fleet staple with an extensive dealer and parts network across North America. In the 60-100 kW rental segment, the 4045HFG04 delivers a strong balance of power density, fuel efficiency, and maintainability. The Tier 4 Final aftertreatment system (DOC/DPF/SCR) requires DEF replenishment and periodic DPF regeneration, but John Deere's automated regen strategy handles this during normal operation with minimal operator intervention. In our fleet experience, these units rotate through construction main power, commercial building temporary service, and event infrastructure roles. The rental grade enclosure and chassis stand up well to repeated transport and repositioning, and the integrated containment base simplifies environmental compliance on sensitive sites.
