Overview#
The Winco DR100F4 is a 100 kW standby diesel generator powered by an FPT Industrial N67 TM1 6.7-liter six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with a Stamford alternator. A three-phase-only unit (277/480V), it is one of the larger models in Winco's enclosed DR diesel standby series. EPA Tier III certified (standby). 100% US-made in Le Center, Minnesota since 1927.
At 100 kW, the DR100F4 is serious commercial infrastructure — serving buildings with significant electrical loads, life-safety systems, and code-mandated backup power requirements. The DR series enclosure provides outdoor-ready installation with sub-base fuel tank and automatic start capability.

Service & Maintenance#
Oil and fuel filter changes every 500 hours or annually — the annual interval is critical for standby units where diesel sits in tanks and degrades. The FPT N67 TM1 six-cylinder engine has a larger oil sump and filter capacity than smaller four-cylinder platforms; consumable costs are proportionally higher. Engine consumables are available through CNH Industrial dealers and standard diesel parts suppliers.
Stamford alternator maintenance covers brush wear, bearing condition, and winding insulation — routine tasks for any qualified generator technician. Transfer switch contacts should be exercised weekly. Major overhaul at 20,000 hours.
