Overview#
The Triton Power TP-RS500-T4F is a 440 kW rental grade diesel generator built for high-demand fleet and jobsite power applications. Powered by the Scania DC13 084A six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine (12.7 L displacement) paired with a Leroy Somer alternator, it delivers 440 kW / 550 kVA standby and 400 kW / 500 kVA prime power at 1800 RPM. The unit meets EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards through Scania's integrated DOC/DPF/SCR aftertreatment system.
Built for rental fleet durability, the TP-RS500-T4F features a reinforced sound-attenuated enclosure, heavy-duty steel chassis with forklift pockets and crane lifting points, and 125% integrated fluid containment. Available in three-phase configurations (120/208V and 277/480V), it delivers primary power for large commercial construction, data center temporary backup, industrial plant shutdowns, and major event installations where half-megawatt Tier 4 Final compliant generation is required.
Our service experience#
The Scania DC13 at its higher-output tuning delivers impressive power density from the same 12.7-liter inline-6 platform used in the 400 kVA model, making the TP-RS500-T4F the go-to rental unit when projects need just under 500 kVA of prime power. In fleet rotation, these units handle the heaviest single-genset loads — large commercial construction main feeds, temporary data center backup, and industrial shutdown support. The Tier 4 Final aftertreatment system requires DEF and periodic DPF service, but automatic regeneration operates transparently under normal loaded conditions. At this power level, fuel logistics become a meaningful operational consideration for rental customers, and we advise planning for daily fuel deliveries on sustained full-load applications. The rental grade enclosure and heavy-duty chassis are built to withstand the transport and handling demands of large-equipment rental operations.
