Overview#
The Triton Power TP-RS1000-T4F is an 880 kW rental grade twin-pack diesel generator delivering near-megawatt power from two synchronized Scania DC16 084A V-8 turbocharged diesel engines (16.4 L displacement each) paired with Leroy Somer alternators. The combined output is 880 kW / 1100 kVA standby and 800 kW / 1000 kVA prime power at 1800 RPM. Both engines meet EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards through Scania's integrated DOC/DPF/SCR aftertreatment system.
The twin-pack configuration provides built-in redundancy within a single mobilizable unit — if one engine module requires service, the other continues generating at reduced capacity. The TP-RS1000-T4F features a reinforced sound-attenuated enclosure, heavy-duty steel chassis with crane lifting points, and 125% integrated fluid containment. Available in three-phase configurations (120/208V and 277/480V), it serves as primary power for large-scale construction, industrial plant shutdowns, data center temporary backup, disaster response, and major event installations where megawatt-class Tier 4 Final compliant generation is required.

The Scania DC16 V-8 twin pack represents the top of Scania's rental-grade power range, delivering genuine megawatt-class output in a single transportable unit. The V-8 configuration provides excellent power density and smooth operation under heavy sustained loads. In rental fleet service, these units deploy to the largest and most critical applications — data center temporary backup during utility construction, industrial turnaround main power, large commercial high-rise construction, and disaster response operations. The twin-pack redundancy is a significant advantage over paralleled single units because the synchronization and load sharing are factory-integrated rather than field-configured. Fuel logistics are a primary operational concern at this power level — plan for bulk fuel delivery infrastructure on-site. DEF consumption across both engines adds an additional logistics requirement. The rental grade enclosure and chassis are engineered for repeated crane handling and heavy transport, with structural reinforcement that justifies the premium over standard industrial packaging.
