Series Overview#
The Cummins QSB Series powers the mid-range commercial segment of the Cummins generator lineup, spanning 60 to 200 kW. These generators use the QSB engine family — specifically the QSB4.5 (4.5-liter inline-4) and QSB7 (6.7-liter inline-6) — which are among the most widely deployed commercial diesel engines in the world across construction equipment, marine, and stationary power applications.
The QSB platform offers electronic fuel injection, full-authority electronic controls, and Cummins PowerCommand controllers for paralleling, remote monitoring, and load management. Generators in this series are configured for commercial standby duty with single-step load acceptance per NFPA 110 and are available in open-skid, sound-attenuated, and weather-protective enclosure configurations.
The QSB engine family's broad deployment across multiple industries means parts availability is strong through both the Cummins dealer network and independent aftermarket channels.
