Overview#
Crestchic's 500 kW resistive-reactive load bank tests generators at realistic power factor loads — not just pure resistive (unity power factor). Real building loads include motors, transformers, and other inductive equipment that create reactive (kVAR) demand. A resistive-reactive load bank simulates these mixed loads, providing a more realistic test of generator performance including voltage regulation, alternator heating, and fuel consumption under actual operating conditions.
