Overview#
The Phillips & Temro Zerostart 1000W block heater is a non-thermostatic (continuous-on) engine preheater for diesel generators. Zerostart is the alternative to Hotstart for generator block heating, offering a simpler, lower-cost design that runs continuously when connected to power. While less energy-efficient than thermostatic designs, the continuous heating ensures the engine stays warm even in extreme cold. Used by some OEMs and widely available as an aftermarket replacement.
